Our Thanksgiving responsibilities included preparing appetizers for ten people pre-first Thanksgiving meal and a side dish for our second Thanksgiving. This was all Jon and he went with a bacon theme.
For appetizers he whipped up a bacon-leek dip, bacon wrapped dates and a baked brie with maple syrup and pecans. I really could have gone without dinner after enjoying these treats. All three apps were huge crowd pleasers and quickly devoured.
We made this brussel sprouts with bacon dish as a side the other night and it stole the show. Neither one of us can remember what else we ate that evening so this was an easy choice for the side dish we would contribute.
Our two Thanksgiving weren’t enough, however, and we came home to cook a feast up for just the two of us. We’re all about those leftovers!
