Weekly What We Eat // Thanksgiving Edition

In addition to having two Thanksgivings with family, we decided we wanted leftovers for ourselves so cooked up a gigantic feast for two. We spent the Sunday afternoon after Thanksgiving grilling a (post holiday super sale) turkey, making too many sides and a pie. It was delicious and we enjoyed every form of turkey leftovers all of last week. We might be a little sick of turkey by now, but it was worth it!

Our menu:

Grilled turkey with a homemade seasoning rub

Roasted acorn squash with a balsamic reduction, creme fraiche and hazelnuts

Roasted Garlic Healthier Mashed Potatoes (with a secret ingredient)

White bean casserole with sauteed leeks

Breakfast sausage stuffing

Apple Cranberry Crumble Pie

We also needed a no-drippings gravy recipe and this one was awesome. Dumping gravy on everything all week!

Case in point. Toast with turkey, mashies and stuffing smothered in gravy. YUM.
